China's capital city Beijing is truely a fascinating city. The forbidden city, Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, and definitely the Great Wall should not be new to anyone. This city has more 2000 years history and it has been the capital city for many dynasties throughout the history.It embraces the historical and modern culture and archetectures. Beijing occupies 6,487 square miles; the population of Beijing, defined as the toal number of people who reside in Beijing for 6 months or more per year, was 17.43 million in 2007 and 95% of the population is Han Majority. Beijing is recognized as the political, economical, educational and cultural center of China, and the city will host the 2008 Summer Olympics.
